John Eads


John started playing volleyball seriously in 1963 as a setter for the United States Naval Hospital team in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.  The highlights of his playing career were being selected as a member of the All 9th Naval District team in 1980 and an All Navy selection as setter in 1981.  He has been coaching volleyball for 41 years.  John’s experience is with girls’ volleyball teams from ages 8 to 25, including recreational leagues, middle school, high school, military teams and USAV Junior Olympics in Illinois, Virginia and North Carolina.  He has served as the head coach at Duke School for the last 14 years.  John also has been a part of D.O.V.E. Volleyball for over thirteen years as a coach, mentor, or supporter.
